May the Cookies Be Ever in Your Flavor: 'Sesame Street' and Cookie Monster Spoof 'The Hunger Games' with 'The Hungry Games'

Who's a better character? Peeta from The Hunger Games? Or a talking pita? Thanks to The Hungry Games, a Hunger Games spoof from Sesame Street, we now have the answer to that. (Sorry, Josh Hutcherson fans, but the talking pita is better.)

Continuing Sesame Street's reputation for delivering awesome online spoofs of pop culture, The Hungry Games stars Cookie Monster as Cookieniss Evereat, a heroine who must win a competition that involves making the right food choices. (Don't worry, this isn't some preachy pro-veggie video — Cookie Monster eats a clock at one point.)

While we're on the topic of Sesame Street, I want to recommend that if you're a fan of the show and the Muppets, you definitely need to read Jim Henson: The Biography, a book by Brian Jay Jones that recently became available. So much history about Jim Henson, the Muppets, Sesame Street and pretty much everything else Henson was involved in. The guy was a visionary, and it's a shame he isn't still around.
