You Shall Buy Advance Passes? There's a JRR Tolkien Movie in the Works

Thanks to Peter Jackson, author JRR Tolkien's two greatest works, the Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit, have already been brought to the big screen. But what about the author himself?

On Thursday, The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Fox Searchlight and Chernin Entertainment are working on a biopic about Tolkien. According to THR, the movie "would chronicle the key moments in Tolkien’s life that shaped him and led him to write Hobbit, the classic children’s book, in 1937, and then, starting in 1954, his Rings trilogy."

If The Lord of the Rings can sustain three movies and The Hobbit (a single book) can do the same, I guess Tolkien's life could be at least one movie, right? Of course, if Jackson somehow directs this movie too, expect to see it broken into a trilogy with extended versions released on blu-ray. Hopefully Evangeline Lilly would once again play a character that was made up for the movies too.
