'Bourne Legacy' Sequel Hitting Theaters on Aug. 14, 2015

OK, kids, that's it — 2015's movie release calendar is all full. Start picking dates in 2016. Are there any franchises left that haven't already announced a new installment in 2015? We have Star Wars, Terminator, The Avengers, Jurassic Park and countless other huge franchises sucking up release dates in two years. On Monday, Universal confirmed that it would throw another sequel into that mix, announcing an Aug. 14, 2015, release date for its untitled Bourne Legacy sequel.

Last month, we learned that Fast and Furious franchise director Justin Lin would helm Bourne 5. Jeremy Renner will be back as the film's lead character, as Matt Damon still hasn't been lured back as the title character.

Seeing as how every weekend in 2015 has already been claimed, Bourne 5 will have to compete with The Smurfs 3 if both movies stick to the Aug. 14, 2015, release date.
