'Draft Day' Trailer and Poster: Can Kevin Costner Turn Around the Cleveland Browns? (Too Bad It's Not Still the Buffalo Bills)

Kevin Costner plays a GM faced with the big decision of what to do with a No. 1 NFL draft pick for the Cleveland Browns in Draft Day, and the newly released trailer for the film gives us our first look at the film.

Draft Day was listed on the 2012 Black List, as the script, despite its potential, had languished in limbo for a few years. When Costner first joined the project, Draft Day was actually about a Buffalo Bills GM, but when Cleveland came calling with a bunch of incentives to shoot there instead of in Buffalo, Draft Day ditched Buffalo. Just another disappointment for the Buffalo Bills.

Interestingly enough, the trailer for Draft Day still shows signs of the Buffalo Bills, with the trailers title cards in red and blue instead of the Browns' colors. There's even an opening shot of Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo at the beginning of the trailer. That shot happens to coincide with Costner character saying, "Every year, someone comes out of this looking like a donkey." Cheap shot at the Bills?

Draft Day stars Costner, Jennifer Garner, Frank Langella, Tom Welling, Chadwick Boseman and Denis Leary. The movie was directed by Ivan Reitman and opens on April 11, 2014.
