'Happy Endings' Creator Gets a Pilot Order from NBC
Happy Endings creator David Caspe is moving from Steak Me Home Tonight to just plain Marry Me. The Hollywood Reporter reported on Wednesday that Caspe had received a pilot order from NBC for Marry Me, a single-camera sitcom. According to THR, the sitcom "centers on a longtime couple who get engaged — only to quickly realize that it's harder than it looks."
Can we get a Kickstarter going to convince Caspe and NBC that either Elisha Cuthbert and Zachary Knighton or Eliza Coupe and Damon Wayans Jr. need to be cast as that couple? I don't care how closely that would resemble Happy Endings, I just want it to happen. We can still rekindle what we lost. Never forget.
The pilot for Marry Me would be considered for NBC's 2014 schedule.
Oh, and fun fact as you can see in this article's picture: Caspe and his Happy Endings star Casey Wilson are a couple. They're actually engaged.
