Judd Apatow and Amy Schumer's 'Trainwreck' Gets a July 2015 Release Date

Trainwreck, the movie that Judd Apatow will direct and Amy Schumer will star in, now has a release date. Universal Pictures will release the movie on July 24, 2015.

Apatow first attached himself to Schumer's movie project in August, coming abroad as a producer. In November, we learned that Apatow would also direct Trainwreck, which also appears to now be just one word.

Universal has definitely picked a busy time to release Apatow and Schumer's movie. Batman vs. Superman (or whatever we're calling it) opens the weekend before and Marvel's Ant-Man opens the weekend after Trainwreck is set to hit theaters. If Universal really wants to keep this movie in summer 2015, it's going to have a very small window to make some money.
