Final 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' Trailer Pits Spider-Man Against Electro, Green Goblin and Rhino

There may be concerns that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is cramming too many villains into the movie, but I think there's hope that things will be turn out OK. The newest trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which hit the Internet on Wednesday, gives me that hope.

Director Marc Webb appears to be ready to capitalize on the storylines he started in the first Amazing Spider-Man. While that movie only touched on the secret origin of Peter Parker, the sequel should blow that open thanks to the presence of Harry Osborn and the reveal that Oscorp is basically a villain-making factory.

For the sake of seeing a Sinister Six movie that brings all of this together, I really hope Sony can make their cinematic universe happen.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens on May 2. It stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper, Sally Field and Paul Giamatti.
