Disney and Marvel's 'Big Hero 6' Debuts Poster, Images and Trailer Teaser

Here at Popculturology, we've firmly established that Disney is officially enjoying its Second Renaissance, fueled by movies like Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph and Tangled. Can the studio keeps things going with Big Hero 6, its next offering?

Based on a Marvel comic book series by the same name, Big Hero 6 is "an action comedy adventure about brilliant robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who finds himself in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo. With the help of his closest companion—a robot named Baymax—Hiro joins forces with a reluctant team of first-time crime fighters on a mission to save their city. "

Disney unveiled the first poster and several images from Big Hero 6 on Wednesday. On top of those, we also got a teaser for the Big Hero 6 trailer that will debut on Thursday.

Big Hero 6 is directed by Winnie the Pooh director Dom Hall and Bolt co-director Chris Williams. The movie stars the voice talents of TJ Miller, Jamie Chung, Maya Rudolph, Samuel L. Jackson, Josh Hutcherson and Freddie Highmore. Big Hero 6 opens on Nov. 7.
