Former 'Doctor Who' Star Matt Smith Joins 'Terminator' Reboot

When it comes to hunting down humanity, are Terminators swayed by bow ties? The world may finally know the answer to this question, as former Doctor Who star Matt Smith has joined Terminator: Genesis.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Smith "will play a new character with a strong connection to John Connor."

The Eleventh Doctor joins a cast that already has Zero Dark Thirty star Jason Clarke playing John Connor, Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke playing Sarah Connor, Arnold Schwarzenegger playing some version of a Terminator and Jai Courtney playing Kyle Reese.

Thor: The Dark World director Alan Taylor helms Terminator: Genesis, which opens on July 1, 2015.
