BOX OFFICE REPORT (JUNE 20-22): 'Think Like a Man Too' Slips Past '22 Jump Street'

1. Think Like a Man Too (N)
Weekend gross: $30 million / Total domestic gross: $30 million /
Percent drop: NA
With movies like Think Like a Man and Ride Along, Kevin Hart has become one of cinema's rising stars. Based on Think Like a Man Too's opening weekend, though, there's a chance that Hart's star has stalled. The movie grossed $30 million over its first weekend, failing to even match Think Like a Man's 2012 opening mark of $33.6 million. A $30 million weekend is still good, but we'll have to see how the rest of Hart's busy movie schedule plays out over the next few months and years to determine whether his bubble has burst.

2. 22 Jump Street (1st)
Weekend gross: $29 million / Total domestic gross: $111.5 million /
Percent drop: 49.2
22 Jump Street continues to outperform its predecessor, pulling in $29 million during the movie's second weekend while 21 Jump Street grossed $20.5 million over the comparable weekend. Overall, the sequel is closing in on 21 Jump Street's total domestic gross to, with its $111.5 million total inching closer to 21 Jump Street's $138.4 million domestic total. Phil Lord and Chris Miller are now 4-for-4 when it comes to having their films pass the $100 million mark at the domestic box office.

3. How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2nd)
Weekend gross: $25.3 million / Total domestic gross: $95.2 million /
Percent drop: 48.8
After barely improving on How to Train Your Dragon's opening weekend, How to Train Your Dragon 2's second weekend gross slipped below its predecessor, trailing the original's second weekend by roughly $4 million. Overall, How to Train Your Dragon 2's total domestic gross is just $3 million ahead of How to Train Your Dragon's number at that same point. This franchise is supposed to be DreamWorks Animation's strongest offering — has the studio lost the one bit of magic it had?

4. Jersey Boys (N)
Weekend gross: $13.5 million / Total domestic gross: $13.5 million /
Percent drop: NA
Clint Eastwood as a director has never been a huge box office draw. With the release of Jersey Boys, critics have been debating Eastwood's standing among directors, whether he deserves to be consider a great or if he's just a middling director getting by on his name and an Oscar or two. Those aspects of his career can't get moviegoers to check out his films during their opening weekends. Jersey Boys' $13.5 million opening isn't anything special, but it is the fourth highest opening weekend of Eastwood's directorial career.

5. Maleficent (3rd)
Weekend gross: $13 million / Total domestic gross: $186 million /
Percent drop: 29.7
Maleficent is now roughly half a million dollars away from passing Mr. and Mrs. Smith to become the highest grossing live-action movie of Angelina Jolie's career. Considering it took Mr. and Mrs. Smith 27 weeks to reach $186.3 million, that's pretty impressive. Any chance Jolie could mash her two highest-grossing films together? Cast Brad Pitt for Mr. and Maleficent Smith, maybe?

Next week's predictions
1. Transformers: Age of Extinction
2. 22 Jump Street
3. Think Like a Man Too
4. How to Train Your Dragon 2
5. Maleficent
