'Fast and Furious 7' Gets a Poster and Shorter Title

The next Fast and Furious sequel is going to be less fast — Universal Studios released the first poster for the movie on Sunday while announcing that the movie would be titled Furious 7 at the same time.

The franchise has been pretty loose when it comes to naming its movies. We had The Fast and the Furious, 2 Fast 2 Furious and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Those all kind of made sense. Then came Fast and Furious, Fast Five and Fast and Furious 6. I guess Furious 7 makes sense after all that.

It's not news that Furious 7 has experienced more than its fair share of difficulties. After star Paul Walker died in December, the movie was put on hold. Vin Diesel had mentioned that the filming process was understandably difficult after Walker's passing.

Furious 7 is now set to open on April 3, 2015. In addition to Walker and Diesel, the movie stars Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Lucas Black and Jason Statham.
