New 'Late Late Show' Host James Corden Has a Start Date

CBS announced on Thursday that James Corden will begin hosting The Late Late Show on March 9, 2015. The British actor and comedian will replace Craig Ferguson, whose last time hosting the late-night show will be Dec. 19.

"We're excited to begin CBS's next chapter after midnight and introduce James' wide range of performance talents and fearless creative instincts to American television viewers," CBS Entertainment Chairman Nina Tassler said in a statement. "He and [incoming Late Late Show executive producer Ben Winston] have been friends for a long time and partnered together on a variety of successful projects. They are a creatively dynamic and very energetic host/producer combination."

If American audiences aren't familiar with Corden, they'll soon be able to see him in Disney's cinematic adaption of Into the Woods. Corden plays The Baker and is featured on the cover of Entertainment Weekly this week.
