Casting Marvel's JESSICA JONES Netflix Series: Krysten Ritter and Alexandria Daddario in the Mix

Out of Marvel Studios' entire Netflix slate, we only have casting news for Daredevil. The studio has been mum when it comes to Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Deadline reported on Wednesday that Marvel has begun the process of testing people for Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, with  Krysten Ritter, Alexandra Daddario, Teresa Palmer and Jessica De Gouw in the running for Jessica Jones and Lance Gross and Mike Colter under consideration for Luke Cage.

Among those six names, Ritter and Daddario are the most intriguing. Ritter jumped onto fanboys radars playing the Jesse Pinkman's girlfriend on Breaking Bad. She also led The B---- in Apartment 23. Daddario has played the female lead in the Percy Jackson movies and most recently had a much-talked-about nude scene in True Detective. (Hey, even President Barack Obama watched that show.)

Daredevil will premiere on Netflix in May 2015. Jessica Jones and Luke Cage don't have premiere dates yet. All four of Marvel Studios' Netflix series will run for 13 episodes, culminating in a The Defenders miniseries.
