New Netflix Series MARCO POLO Gets a Trailer

Since you don't already have enough to binge-watch, Netflix is introducing Marco Polo, a new series, this December. The streaming service released the first trailer for Marco Polo on Monday, showing off a series that could be the Netflix version of Game of Thrones.

If you're like me and did a report on Marco Polo in fourth grade, you know all about the explorer — traveled to China, explored Asia, met Kublai Khan. I'm guessing the Netflix version of Polo's story is going to add a bunch more sex and violence. Hopefully the series winds up being the service's next great show.

Marco Polo premieres on Netflix on Dec. 12. The show stars Lorenzo Richelmy as Polo and Benedict Wong as Kublai Khan.
