Snoopy Takes Flight in THE PEANUTS MOVIE Trailer
The official trailer for The Peanuts Movie arrived early on Tuesday morning, jumping the gun on Blue Sky Studios' original promise that we'd get a trailer next week. The trailer comes right after producer Paul Feig promised the world that The Peanuts Movie would remain faithful to Charles Schulz's comics — no twerking, no backwards baseball hats, no Kim Kardashian references — and the trailer upholds that promise.
We don't get much story in The Peanuts Movie trailer, but we do get to see just how seamlessly the use of archival recordings of Bill Melendez voicing Snoopy and Woodstock work. I don't know who Feig and director Steve Martino found to voice Charlie Brown and the rest of the kids, but even those voices sound right.
With each additional look at The Peanuts Movie, I'm feeling more and more that the franchise is in good hands and that the movie is going to be something that honors the feel and tone of Peanuts.
The Peanuts Movie opens on Nov. 6, 2015.
