Jessica Chastain Joins THE HUNTSMAN

How do you replace Kristen Stewart? If you're Universal Pictures and you're making a sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman, you bring both Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain on board. After we learned last month that Blunt was in talks to join The Huntsman as a snow queen, TheWrap reported on Tuesday that Chastain will play the love interest of Chris Hemsworth's Huntsman.

According to TheWrap, The Huntsman will expand "the universe established in the first film to reveal how the fates of two characters, the Huntsman Eric and Ravenna, intersected before they met Snow White." Both Stewart and director Rupert Sanders won't return for this sequel.

The Huntsman is set to open on April 22, 2016. Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, who lead the visual effects team on Snow White and the Huntsman, steps up to direct the movie.
