BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Trailer Will Be Attached to MAD MAX: FURY ROAD

Citizens of the Internet have been clamoring for the first trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ever since we got a small taste of the film during last year's San Diego Comic-Con. The footage of Ben Affleck's Batman and Henry Cavill's Superman engaged in a staring contest was only officially available to the fans Warner Bros. deemed better than the rest of us who couldn't afford the cost of or make to time to go to Comic-Con. The first trailer for Batman v Superman will really be the world's introduction to the movie.

Collider is reporting that this trailer will be attached to Mad Max: Fury Road, which is set to hit theaters on May 15. This will finally end months of speculation over when the Batman v Superman trailer will debut. We can thank Lucasfilm releasing a teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens over a year before that movie hits theaters for the belief that trailers should be available so early in the process.

So why Mad Max: Fury Road? Collider makes the good point that this will allow Warner Bros. the chance to capture the conversation after Avengers: Age of Ultron premieres at the beginning of May. If the studio were to release the Batman v Superman trailer before then, Marvel Studios will easily change the conversation when Age of Ultron opens.

The Zack Snyder-directed Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will hit theaters on March 25, 2016. In addition to Affleck and Cavill, the movie stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
