Ben Mendelsohn Rumored for STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE Male Lead

Star Wars: Rogue One is almost two years from hitting theaters, and the movie remains under Lucasfilm's heavy veil of secrets. Besides knowing that Gareth Edwards is directing the Star Wars spinoff and that Felicity Jones was the first actress cast for the movie that will open on De. 16, 2016, Lucasfilm has confirmed very little about the film. (Alexandre Desplat may be scoring Star War: Rogue One, but that's just a rumor for now.)

Another rumor to add to the pile: Ben Mendelsohn could be Star Wars: Rogue One's male lead. According to Deadline, the actor is circling a top role in the movie.

Mendelsohn isn't a household name, but he's made his mark in films like The Dark Knight Rises and The Place Beyond the Pines. He's currently starring in Netflix's Bloodline.
