Bryan Singer Teases Angel in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Concept Art
Bryan Singer is doing everything he can to wipe the stain that is X-Men: The Last Stand out of existence. After using X-Men: Days of Future Past to bring Cyclops and Jean Grey back to life, the director tweeted a picture of X-Men: Apocalypse concept art featuring Angel on Monday.
Angel was featured in X-Men: The Last Stand, but like pretty much everything in that movie, the character wasn't given the treatment he deserved. Ben Foster played Angel/Warren Worthington III in The Last Stand, but Singer will certainly recast the role if he uses the character in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse.
The next X-Men movie is the perfect chance to reintroduce Angel. In the comics, Apocalypse gave Angel metal wings and made him one of the Horsemen of Apocalypse. Warren would later adopt the persona of Archangel.
X-Men: Apocalypse is set to hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
