VACATION Sequel Starring Ed Helms Moved Up to Summer 2015

The upcoming Vacation sequel just became a summer vacation. Warner Bros. bumped the movie, which stars Ed Helms as an adult Rusty Griswold, up to July 31 from its original release date of Oct. 9.

Vacation will be the fifth film in the franchise and Helms will be the fifth actor to play the Griswold son, following in the footsteps of Anthony Michael Hall, Jason LivelyJohnny Galecki and Ethan Embry. Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo will reprise their iconic roles of Clark and Ellen Griswold, with Leslie Mann taking over the role of their daughter, Audrey. Sadly, none of Cousin Eddie's family will be back — hard to make that happen when Randy Quaid is hiding in Canada.

In the new Vacation movie, Rusty leads his family on a cross-country trip to visit Walley World one final time before the theme park closes forever.

Horrible Bosses co-writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein directed Vacation. With the movie's new release date, I'd have to image we'll be getting a trailer soon.
