Fox Renews NEW GIRL for a Fifth Season

New Girl is losing Damon Wayans Jr., but it's gaining a fifth season. Fox announced on Tuesday that it had renewed the sitcom for another year.

Wayans announced in February that that he was leaving New Girl ... again. The actor has found himself in high demand during pilot season but could wind up returning as a guest on New Girl in the future.

With the completion of its fourth season, New Girl will have aired 95 episodes. Season 5 of New Girl will push it past the 100-episode mark, so expect to see the show in syndication soon.
