Regal Posts a List of IMAX Theaters Showing the BATMAN V SUPERMAN Trailer Next Monday, Then Deletes It

Regal Cinemas seems to have a "posting secret news early then deleting it" problem. The theater chain leaked a list of theaters playing the Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer back in Thanksgiving, and it was at it again on Wednesday. The Regal website posted a list of 19 IMAX theaters that will be participating in the premiere of the first trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next Monday.

Judging by the "Insert Blurb Text Here" line in the above image, I'm guessing Regal didn't mean to post this list right away. I'm sure Warner Bros. didn't want Regal leaking the news ahead of director Zack Snyder's big five-second reveal of the Batman v Superman trailer on Thursday.

When Lucasfilm tried to do a "select theaters only" premiere of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer in November, the studio quickly realized that treating some fans as more deserving than others just because they live near a certain theater doesn't fly well. That teaser was put online at the same time it was debuting in theaters. Let's see if Warner Bros. makes the same move on Monday.
