James Franco to Guest Star on Mindy Kaling's 'The Mindy Project'
If you sat through Oz the Great and Powerful, Spring Breakers and This Is the End and thought, "Man, I love James Franco, but I sure wish there was a way that I could watch him in some of my favorite TV shows," I have some good news for you. Franco will have a two-episode arc during Season 2 of The Mindy Project. From TVLine:
Franco is joining the Fox comedy for a two-episode arc as the doc who fills in for Mindy while she and Pastor Casey volunteer in Haiti.
Franco’s character, Dr. Paul Leotard, is a charismatic and popular physician — and former model — who helps pick up the slack at Shulman and Associates. (His decision to leave the world of couture for a medical career came when he accidentally walked off a Fashion Week runway and was saved by a pregnant woman, thus cementing his desire to help expectant mothers for the rest of his life.)Of course, if you watch General Hospital or 30 Rock, you know that Franco is no stranger to making random TV appearances. His guest role on The Mindy Project will be just another item on his length resume. Hopefully Franco will bring Komiko, his Japanese body pillow (and possible lover) from 30 Rock, to The Mindy Project too. Mindy Kaling wouldn't be weirded out by that, right?
