'American Dad!' Gets Picked Up by TBS ... 'Happy Endings' Is Still Dead

I not over the death of Happy Endings. I probably won't be over the death of Happy Endings for a long time. Had the show just died without ever giving us the hope that USA Network or some other channel would swoop in a rescue it, this would be a lot easier. That dose of false hope, though, changed everything. Sigh ...

I bring Happy Endings up because, unlike that show, American Dad! has found a way to live on past its days on Fox, with TBS announcing on Tuesday that it had renewed the show for a 15-episode season.
“American Dad! is a great fit for TBS, a favorite of comedy fans who like smart, irreverent humor with ample doses of biting wit and skewering satire,” said Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movie, in announcing the deal. “We look forward to welcoming Seth MacFarlane and the rest of his team as they bring this iconic show to TBS.”
Seth MacFarlane's American Dad!'s TBS run will begin in 2015, with Fox still airing the show's tenth season beginning this fall. I will trade every episode of American Dad! for just one more episode of Happy Endings.
