'Happy Endings' Star Zachary Knighton Lands New Series, Will Also Guest Star on 'Parenthood'

With each member of its cast that gets a new gig, the dream of bringing Happy Endings back from the dead becomes a bit fainter. Zachary Knighton, who played Dave on the unjustly canceled sitcom (never forget), has two new roles, according to TVLine.

In Weird Loners, which tells the story of four relationship-phobic people who are unexpectedly thrust into one another’s lives and form an unlikely bond in a townhouse in Queens, NY., Knighton will play Stosh Lewandowski, a whip-smart and rakishly handsome sales rep with a cynical edge. He’s an inveterate womanizer whose knee-jerk seductions always have him in hot water. Fired for sleeping with his boss’ fiancee, Stosh is essentially homeless when he finds a welcome place to stay with his cousin, Eric, whom he hasn’t seen since they were just kids.

In addition to Weird Loners, Knighton will also appear on Parenthood, playing "Evan Knight, a hip new teacher at the school Kristina founded who catches the eye of Julia." A new love interest for Julia?

No.

No. No. No. C'mon, Parenthood, do you really have to break Julia and Joel up? And Kristina is really going to start a school? I love you, Parenthood, but when did Kristina become Career Barbie? Will she be an astronaut next season?

Knighton will appear on Parenthood during the show's final few episodes for the season.
