Welcome to 'Gotham,' Bitch: Former 'The OC' Star Benjamin McKenzie Lands Batman Prequel Lead

Benjamin McKenzie is heading back to Fox but he's keeping his Southland police gear. The former The OC actor has landed the lead in Gotham, the network's Batman prequel series focusing on Commissioner James Gordon's origin. Entertainment Weekly broke the news on Saturday.

We learned a few weeks ago that Gotham will focus not just on Gordon but also a young Bruce Wayne and many of the city's infamous villains. It still isn't clear how Gotham will fit together with the Justice League universe Warner Bros. is building with Man of Steel and its sequel along with The CW's Arrow series.
