'Godzilla' Brings Destruction in Two New Images and Clip

We're just one week away from Godzilla storming his way back into theaters. If you're like me, that's still too much time to wait. In the meantime, we're going to have to keep ourselves occupied with two new images and a clip from Godzilla.

The new pictures come from the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. The magazine explored Godzilla's place in pop culture and looked at how director Gareth Edwards planned on making the character the king of monsters once again.

"I don't think there have been enough serious takes on giant-monster movies,'' Edwards told EW. ''The fun of it all for me is believing it. And if you really believe it, it would be quite harrowing — it would be bigger than World War II.''

The latest clip from Godzilla comes via SuperHeroHype. Generally posting movie clips goes against Popculturology's policy of not looking at clips before seeing a movie, but — c'mon — this is Godzilla we're talking about here.
