Bill Hader Shares the Secrets of Stefon with 'Grantland's' Bill Simmons

If asked to name the biggest break-out character of the past few seasons of Saturday Night Live, you would probably name Bill Hader's Stefon as that very character. Hader created the popular character with SNL writer John Mulaney, and the duo continues to find new and ridiculously absurd nightclubs for Stefon to promote on Weekend Update.

Hader sat down to chat with Grantland Editor in Chief Bill Simmons and shared some of the history behind Stefon and fill him in on how they write the character. My favorite part about Stefon is the fact that Mulaney will often change lines on Hader before the actor goes on air, forcing him to deal with new lines on the spot.
