Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen's Stupid Faces Ruin New 'Les Miserables' Poster
By all accounts, director Tom Hooper's adaption of Les Misérables is a surefire Oscar contender. The film moved up to No. 3 in this week's edition of the OscarIndex, solidifying its spot among the top five Best Picture contenders. The film is not only directed by Hooper, who won an Oscar in 2011 for The King's Speech, but also has a cast that boasts Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Russell Crowe.
I mention all of this because I'm shocked that Hooper not only cast Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen in Les Misérables, but that he allowed this ridiculous poster featuring the two to ever see the light of day. It's a joke. An absolute joke. It makes a mockery the movie, and is something that I'd expect to see from whatever Baron Cohen's next flop of a movie will be.
Head past the jump to see the entire poster. If you're a huge Les Misérables fan, though, I gotta warn you that you might punch a whole through your monitor. (There's also a poster featuring Amanda Seyfried and Eddie Redmayne that might make you feel better.)
