Josh Brolin to Replace Clive Owen in 'Sin City' Sequel

After years of rumors and inaction, things have really got going on Sin City: A Dame to Kill For over the past few days. We learned Monday that Joseph Gordon-Levitt had joined the sequel to 2005's Sin City, playing a new character named Johnny, and Tuesday brought the news that Josh Brolin has signed on to play Dwight. Clive Owen filled this role in the original film, but a convenient face-replacement storyline should explain the actor change quite easily.

The character of Ava (the "Dame" in the title) is the one role which remains to be filled. Angelina Jolie had long been rumored to be the favorite, but too much time may have passed for the actress to still come on board. This is actually what happened with the Johnny role, as the part had been originally intended for Johnny Depp ... which may explain the charcter's name, actually.
