TRAILER: Colin Farrell Returns to His Action Roots in 'Dead Man Down'

You gotta give Colin Farrell credit for trying to jumpstart his career. The man was once one of the most sought-after actors in his generation, and then he fell off the map. Between 2011 and 2012, though, Farrell appeared in four films, and he's not ready to hang up his acting hat just yet. Dead Man Down got a burst of online promotion on Wednesday, with the film's first trailer officially getting debuted. A shoddy, low-res version of the Dead Man Down trailer had been floating around the Internet yesterday, but it was so bad I didn't want to post it.

Interestingly enough, Dead Man Down is from WWE Studios, which totally confuses me. With Farrell, Noomi Rapace, Dominic Cooper and Terrence Howard, I expected the film to come from a reputable studio, not one best known for making John Cena movies. Dead Man Down could be the film that shows that WWE Studios has matured beyond that, I guess.

Check out the trailer for yourself after the jump. Dead Man Down hits theaters on March 8, 2013, and was flying so low under the radar up until yesterday, didn't even manage to make Popculturology's 44 Movies to Get Excited About in 2013.
