Did You Think That the Oscars' Tribute to 50 Years of James Bond Sucked? Check Out This Video Instead

Besides losing my Oscar pool, one of my biggest disappointments in this year's Academy Awards ceremony was the tribute to 50 years of James Bond films. The Academy had made a big deal about the segment, which got a lot of people thinking that they were going to get the men who had played 007 — Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig — together on the same stage. Unfortunately, we only got a Bond girl (Halle Berry) introducing Shirley Bassey, who sang Goldfinger.

It turns out a few other people felt the same way, including Kees van Dijkhuizen Jr., who assembled his own 50 Years of James Bond montage, all set to Adele's Oscar-winning Skyfall them. I'm not sure who had this video first on Tuesday, but I found it over at Dark Horizons. If you want to see what a real montage tribute to Bond looks like, check out this video after the jump.

  1. Yes! This is much better than the Oscars version, which was all jump-cutty and had little coherence.
