Tina Fey Says 'No Way' That She'll Host the Oscars

In an interview with the Huffington Post, Tina Fey was asked if there was a chance that she and Amy Poehler could reprise their Golden Globes co-hosting performance at next year's Oscars. The former Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock star told the Huffington Post that there was "no way" that would happen. Well, she actually said the following:

... I just feel like that gig is so hard. Especially for, like, a woman -- the amount of months that would be spent trying on dresses alone ... no way.

Not quite a complete denial on Fey's part that she would ever host the Oscars. Even before Fey and Poehler co-hosted the Globes to great acclaim, there's been a movement to get one or both of the two to host the Oscars. In today's world, some things just seem to have a way of getting willed into happening. Betty White hosting an episode of SNL. Kate Upton appearing on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. JJ Abrams directing Star Wars: Episode VII. The popular zeitgeist seems to go from collective wishes to reality a lot more often than it used to nowadays.

I wouldn't be shocked if Fey hosting the Oscars winds up being one of those times. The Academy didn't announce that Seth MacFarlane would be hosting the Oscars until last October, so there's still plenty of time for the necessary pieces of this puzzle to come together.
