Emma Watson Makes It Clear That There's No Way She's Doing the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie

After the hacker group Anonymous claimed that they had confirmed that Emma Watson was locked in for the female lead in the movie adaption of Fifty Shades of Grey. I'm not going to pretend to know the name of that character, but I'm pretty sure it's as ridiculous as a name given to a character in Twilight fanfic would be.

On Saturday night, Watson took to Twitter to not only deny that she was on board for Fifty Shades of Grey, but also make it clear that there was no way should would even consider doing the movie.
Who here actually thinks I would do 50 Shades of Grey as a movie? Like really. For real. In real life.
Ever since Watson's name has been coming up in rumors for this movie, I've repeatedly asked why an actress like her would go anywhere near the thing. After gaining creative and financial freedom thanks to the Harry Potter movies, Watson has been carefully choosing her future roles, impressing with her performance in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, working with Darren Aronofsky on Noah appearing in Sofia Coppola's upcoming The Bling Ring.

While Fifty Shades of Grey could be the next Twilight, the bondagefest is going to be a black mark on any actor or actress attached to it. Watson clearly wants to be a serious actress — Fifty Shades of Grey would keep her from achieving that.
