Michael Rapaport Joins 'Justified' as an 'Ex-Convict Who Owns a Gator Farm'
Now that Breaking Bad is over, maybe the world will start paying FX's Justified the attention the show has deserved all along. We need a new cable drama darling, don't we? For four years now, Timothy Olyphant and the rest of the Justified cast and crew have been delivering a very high level of dramatic, intelligent and funny TV. One of the show's biggest strengths has been in ability to nab great actors for limited runs, whether we're talking about Margo Martindale, Neal McDonough or Patton Oswalt.
Will Michael Rapaport be the next actor to join that group? On Monday, TVLine reported that the former Boston Public actor had joined Justified for the show's fifth season. According to TVLine, Rapaport will play Dale Crowe Jr, "the sexy and charismatic patriarch of a white-trash Florida crime family. Dale’s an ex-convict who owns a gator farm." And, yes, Dale is related to fan-favorite Dewey Crowe.
Deadline reports that Alicia Witt and Edi Gathegi have also joined Justified. Witt will play "Wendy Crowe, the smart, sexy sister of crime lord Dale. She's a paralegal and the public face of the Crowe crime family." Gathegi, who most recently starred in X-Men: First Class, will play "Jean Baptiste, a Haitian criminal ... in charge of the Crowe family gator farm."
Justified will return in January 2014. Crank up your Netflix machine and do some binge-watching between now and then.
