'Sesame Street' Spoofs 'Homeland'
Homeland's 2012 Emmy win for Outstanding Drama is looking more and more like a blip in television history. After debuting to critical praise, even beating shows like Breaking Bad and Mad Men for that Emmy last year, Homeland has come crashing down. This season's twists have even led critics like The Hollywood Reporter's Tim Goodman to call the current storyline "the most damaging" in the show's history.
I'm not sure what it says about your show when Sesame Street can deliver a spoof that earns more critical praise than the actual show, but that's what's about to happen to Homeland. On Monday, Sesame Street released Homelamb, a parody of Homeland, on its YouTube channel. The main Homeland actors — Claire Danes, Damien Lewis and Mandy Patinkin — all have their own sheep (or wolf?) counterparts.
If Homelamb were a real TV show, it'd be on my dvr in a heartbeat.
