'Fantastic Four' Reboot Script Is Done; Miles Teller, Kate Mara and Michael B. Jordan Among Possible Cast Picks

The script for the Fantastic Four reboot has been handed in and Fox is ready to start the process of figuring out who'll play the first family of superheroes, according to a Variety report. The names that Variety listed seem pretty similar to a report we got back in October.

For Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, it sounds like director Josh Trank and the studio are looking at The Spectacular Now's Miles Teller and Games of Thrones' Kit Harrington and Richard Madden, with Teller being the frontrunner for the role.

House of Cards' Kate Mara and The Host's Saoirse Ronan are on the list of actresses to test for Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman. I guess we can add Fantastic Four to Star Wars and The Avengers for the big franchises that Ronan's name has been attached to over the past few months.

Variety also notes that while Michael B. Jordan is already attached to play Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, he'll still participate in the screen tests for the other roles for chemistry purposes.

No word yet on who will test to play Ben Grimm/The Thing. While I'm not sure if Trank plans on realizing The Thing through a costume like the previous Fantastic Four movies or through a motion-capture performance like the Hulk in The Avengers, there would still have to be an actor to voice the character and most likely play Ben before he becomes The Thing.

Fantastic Four is set to open on June 19, 2015.
