Caesar Rides in 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' Preview Aired During 'The Walking Dead' Finale

Since they both share the whole "humanity getting wiped out" theme, a preview for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes aired during Sunday night's The Walking Dead season finale. We haven't seen much from the upcoming Planet of the Apes sequel (probably because so much of it is motion-capture CGI work), which made the debut of new footage all the more exciting.

The preview didn't disappoint, showing off several shots of Andy Serkis' Caesar riding a horse and leading a band of war-painted apes. Caesar himself didn't talk during this preview, but the human voiceover talked about how the apes didn't need power, lights or heat — which makes the apes stronger.

I can't wait to see this movie. Rise of the Planet of the Apes was one of my favorite movies of 2011, and I've always loved the Planet of the Apes series, no matter how hokey it got in the later movies.
