FIRST LOOK: 'True Detective' Star Alexandra Daddario Meets 'New Girl' Neighbors Schmidt and Coach

Even though it's pretty likely that Schmidt and Coach saw Alexandra Daddario's infamous True Detective strip show, the actress will join the New Girl universe by appearing in the show's March 25 episode.

TVLine published the first image from Daddario's episode, showing her character, Michelle, meeting Max Greenfield's Schmidt and Damon Wayans Jr.'s Coach for the first time. By the looks of this pic, the meeting doesn't seem to go well. According to TVLine, Michelle is "a 'hot girl' who moves into the gang's building with her roommate Laurie (Stevie Nelson of YouTube's Just Shut Up!), and subsequently/of course catches the attention of, at the very least, Schmidt and Coach."

Does this mean True Detective doesn't exist in the New Girl universe? Or is Michelle just a girl who really, really looks like Daddario?
