'The Lego Movie' 'Everything Is Awesome' Edition Will Include an Exclusive Vitruvius Minifigure

Details on the home media release for The Lego Movie are still scarce, which makes sense since the movie is still raking in millions of dollars at the box office. A few Lego blogs out there have started picking up information about The Lego Movie's eventual release on blu-ray and DVD, though, with Bricks and Bloks reporting on Friday that Warner Bros. is playing an "Everything Is Awesome" version of the movie, complete with an exclusive Vitruvius minifigure.

The "Everything Is Awesome" edition will package the blu-ray and DVD with a digital copy of the The Lego Movie. Unfortunately, it'll be the UltraViolet kind of digital copy, which means you won't technically own it. That's OK — if you have a DVD drive, you'll probably be able to rip the DVD so you can put The Lego Movie on your iPhone. The "Everything Is Awesome" edition will also toss in the 3D blu-ray version of the movie for the six people in the world who actually bought a 3D blu-ray player.

The real prize in this edition will be the Vitruvius minifig. As someone who saw The Lego Movie at both a Regal theater and an AMC theater its opening weekend in order to pick up the Pyjamams Emmet and a Robot DJ exclusive minifigure, I'm all about buying the "Everything Is Awesome" version of The Lego Movie to get another cool minifig.

Bricks and Bloks was still trying to lock down whether or not the Vitruvius minifigure will be available through all retailers. While Walmart is selling the "Everything Is Awesome" version of the film on its site, Amazon has yet to list its 3D blu-ray/blu-ray/DVD/digital copy combo pack as the version that includes the Vitruvius minifig.
