'Fantastic Four' Reboot Casts Its Doctor Doom

Fox's Fantastic Four reboot has found its Doctor Doom. Variety reported on Tuesday that the studio was in talks with Toby Kebbell to play the iconic villain.

Fans might not instantly recognize Kebbell, but he's been popping up in movies like Wrath of the Titans and War Horse and will play Koba in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

Kebbell's casting kills any chance that Fox and director Josh Trank would make good on the rumor that they were considering using a female Doctor Doom in Fantastic Four. Doom will remain a guy, just as he was when Julian McMahon played him in the previous two Fantastic Four movies.

Providing his deal goes through, Kebbell will join Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell in the movie, which is scheduled to open on June 19, 2015.
