Noel Wells and John Milhiser Fired From 'SNL'; Nasim Pedrad Officially Leaving

Saturday Night Live's summer exodus continued on Tuesday, with Deadline reporting that Noel Wells and John Milhiser would be joining Brooks Wheelan as departing castmembers. Both Wells and Milhiser were freshman SNL players during the show's recent season.

Deadline also reported that the fate of Mike O'Brien is still up in the air. O'Brien was previously an SNL writer and then moved in front of the camera last season. According to Deadline, there are "discussions are underway for O’Brien’s future on the show that could involve him returning to the writing staff or continuing to have an on-screen presence if he stays on."

Nasim Pedrad's departure from SNL for Fox's upcoming Mulaney sitcom was confirmed by deadline. This isn't big news, as Pedrad pretty much confirmed the news to BuzzFeed in June.
