The New ANT-MAN Poster Is Here
While Avengers: Age of Ultron was busy having the second-best opening in box office history last weekend, there's another Marvel Cinematic Universe movies hiding in its shadows. Ant-Man opens on July 17, just over two months after Age of Ultron hit theaters. Besides a trailer before the latest Avengers movie, there hasn't been much attention on Ant-Man.
Marvel released a new poster for the movie on Wednesday. It has a similar look to the most recent MCU posters we've seen but without the flecks of fire usually floating past the characters. Based on previous Marvel poster campaigns, this Ant-Man one is probably going to kick off a series of character posters.
It's interesting to see Marvel go with "From the Studio That Brought You Guardians of the Galaxy" as the poster's introduction. You'd think "From the Studio That Brought You Avengers: Age of Ultron, the Movie You All Just Saw" would be more effective. Perhaps the studio is trying to position Ant-Man more along the lines of Guardians of the Galaxy's slightly detached from the Marvel Cinematic Universe nature.
