Marvel Announces Premiere Date for JESSICA JONES: Watch the First Teaser Trailer
Marvel Studios and Netflix hit a home run with Daredevil, and now the duo will try to repeat that success with Jessica Jones. The next series in the small screen sector of the Marvel Cinematic Universe got a premiere date and a teaser trailer on Thursday.
Jessica Jones stars Krysten Ritter, David Tennant, Mike Colter, Rachael Taylor and Carrie-Anne Moss. Netflix will release the entire series for our binge-watching pleasure on Friday, Nov. 20. Here's what Netflix has to say about Jessica Jones' plot:
Working as a private investigator in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen, a troubled ex-superhero’s past comes back to haunt her in the live-action series, “Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones.”
When Marvel first announced its plan to bring the MCU to Netflix, we were going to get single-season doses of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Power Fist, which would all lead into a The Defenders miniseries. The runaway success of Daredevil changed those plans, though, and Marvel has now scrambled its Netflix plans to add additional seasons of each show. The second season of Daredevil is already under production, with Jon Bernthal joining the show as the Punisher.
