TV SPOT: Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman Fight for Earth's Future in 'Oblivion'

While it's easy to say that you're looking forward to 2013's blockbuster offerings like Iron Man 3, I gotta say that director Joseph Kosinski's Oblivion is one of the year's underdog films that I'm really excited to see. Tom Cruise stars as a drone repairman working on an Earth left uninhabitable after an invasion. When Cruise's character discovers a group of survivors, everything changes.

Kosinski showed great promise with Tron: Legacy, and everything we've seen so far from Oblivion looks great. While the aesthetics are different, Cruise in this film reminds me of Cruise in Minority Report.

During Sunday night's NFL games, the first commercial for Oblivion premiered. For a 46-second spot, there's actually a lot of new footage featured. Check out the commercial after the jump.
