'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' Stars Garfield and Foxx Face Off as Spider-Man and Electro on 'EW' Cover

Most of what we've seen from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has come from Marc Webb's Twitter account, as the director has tweeted out a bunch of exclusive looks from the upcoming sequel. Thanks to Webb, we've gotten our first look at the new Spider-Man costume and the first official look at Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon, the alter ego of villain Electro. Back in April we got some paparazzi shots of Foxx in the blue Electro makeup, but it we had yet to see The Amazing Spider-Man 2's version of Electro fully realized.

Until Wednesday, that is, when Entertainment Weekly unveiled its Comic-Con cover featuring Spider-Man and Electro facing off. Based on this shot of Electro, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will give us a very different Electro than fans have been used to seeing in the comics and in TV shows. I'm also loving Andrew Garfield's new Spider-Man suit. This is the best version of the iconic costume we've seen on the big screen yet.

In addition to Foxx and Garfield, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Chris Cooper and Felicity Jones. The movies hits theaters on May 2, 2014. Head past the jump to check out the full Entertainment Weekly cover.
