Donald Glover is the young Tracy Jordan
30 Rock is going live again for its April 26 episode, and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Donald Glover will make an appearance, playing a young Tracy Jordan. Glover actually did a Tracy Morgan impression during his Comedy Central session last year, and even threw in the trademark Tracy Morgan belly exposure. We should be in for something pretty funny if he's going to be doing it live.
I've made no secret of how great I think Glover is, whether it's his standup (the DVD of Weirdo is waiting for me back in D.C. right now), his music career as Childish Gambino or his attempt to become Spider-Man. If you're familiar with Glover's pre-Community days, he was a writer for 30 Rock. In Bossypants, Tina Fey reveals that Glover not only wrote for her show but his early life served as the basis for Kenneth the Page.
