Michael Strahan (Not Seth Meyers) Will Replace Regis Philbin on 'Live! With Kelly'

OK, The Bill Kuchman Chronicle readers, call your moms into the room — we have big news this afternoon. While it hasn't been confirmed by ABC yet, Broadcasting & Cable is reporting that Michael Strahan has been picked to sit at the Live! desk next to Kelly Ripa. Yup, that's former New York Giants football player Michael Strahan.

Strahan had been mentioned as one of the finalists to replace Regis Philbin for awhile now, with Saturday Night Live's Seth Meyers and singer Josh Groban being the other two big names. Personally, I had my money on Meyers, even after the SNL head writer's recent denials that he'd be taking the job. I don't watch Live!, so I haven't actually seen Ripa and Strahan in action together.
