Ben Savage Promises They Won't Screw Up 'Boy Meets World' Sequel, Won't Say if Feeny Will Appear

After making his involvement in Girl Meets World official, Ben Savage took the time to chat with Rolling Stone about what the Boy Meets World sequel series had in store for fans. Savage repeatedly used the term "flattered" when discussing what the original series meant to him, including how he feels when people still refer to him as Cory even to this day.

Savage reveals that while there had been talk over the years of uniting the Boy Meets World gang to do a one-shot TV special or movie, it was really important to wait until the right project came along instead of wanting to "really cash in, if you will, too early, or no one really wanted to do something that was going to be cheesy." The actor also points out that having Boy Meets World executive producer Michael Jacobs on board in the same role for Girl Meets World played a big part in getting Savage and Danielle Fishel to sign on.

When asked about other Boy Meets World stars appearing on Girl Meets World, Savage punted, saying:
We're going to wait and see what happens. Obviously, I don't want to give away too many details. But there's definitely been discussions about some of everyone's favorite characters popping up in the show and making appearances.
Well, we already know that Rider Strong won't be back immediately. With William Daniels' stint on Grey's Anatomy over, though, it should be a no-brainer that Mr. Feeny returns to impart wisdom on Cory and Topanga's daughter.
