TRAILER: Steve Carell and Jim Carrey Make Magic in 'The Incredible Burt Wonderstone'

Several years ago, there was a boom in magician movies. Christopher Nolan brought us The Prestige with Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman. We saw Edward Norton play a magician in The Illusionist. If I had to guess, I'd say that the idea for The Incredible Burt Wonderstone began when someone was watching one of those movies, and now, year later, that movie is finally happening. The Incredible Burt Wonderstone brings a rivalry between magicians into the modern world, tossing in a dash of David Copperfield and David Blaine. Steve Carell and Steve Buscemi play a magician duo who find themselves getting upstaged by Jim Carrey's Blaine-esque magician.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone was co-written by John Francis Daley, who also wrote Horrible Bosses, but you probably know best as Sam Weir on Freaks and Geeks. It'll also be interesting to see Carrey attempt to keep his career resurgence going. Between this and Kick-Ass 2, we're going to be seeing a lot of the actor. Funny how in 2003's Bruce Almighty, Carrey was the star and Carell was the unknown, and now in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, Carell is the star and Carrey is the guy trying to kickstart his career.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone hits theaters on March 15, 2013, and stars Carell, Carrey, Buscemi, Olivia Wilde and Alan Arkin. Check out the first trailer for the film after the jump.
